It's missing the 4 studs/nuts that hold down the compound, but other than that and the keys, seems complete. So I'll have to replace those, no big deal. Appears to have been in the process of being setup to be an automated polishing machine: limit switches on Z and X axis, and they removed ability to move any levers (removed all keys). Haven't looked to see whether it has it's own gib yet, aside form the set screw on the left (which is lose). Only thing that appears to be a problem at the moment is compound seems seized. I've loosely/quickly inspected it, turned the spindle by hand, Z-axis by handwheel and X-axis handwheel (missing key on shaft though, but it did move a small distance). ![]() Cleaned it up the other night (WD-40 and scotch-brite) to remove oil/grime/very light surface rust. ![]() Not under power, but appears to be in decent shape. Hi all, just picked up a Clausing Colchester lathe last weekend.
